Bubs Australia

As a parent, we know you take the utmost pleasure in giving your little one the best start to life. We’re sure you’ve experienced the stress of finding the perfect crib and the very best pram, but as far as nutrition goes – there’s so much information to look into. Why not let us take the worry off your hands?

Is Goat Milk Good for Babies?

The unique structure of the proteins and lipids (fats) found in goat milk, resulting in softer casein curds, makes it easier for little bodies to break down and digest. Less digesting provides quick access to abundant nutrients without additional stress on your baby’s digestive system.

Let’s talk about science! When it comes to the molecular composition, goat milk is one of the only sources of dairy with a similar makeup to human milk as they share small protein and fat molecules which are easier for little tums to digest and absorb.

What Are the Benefits of Goat Milk?

Goat milk has a unique fat and protein composition making it naturally easy for the body to break down and its softer curds can pass through the digestive system and be absorbed more gently.

Bubs Goat Milk Formula has been carefully formulated to provide age-appropriate nutrition for toddlers. Goat milk naturally supports gentle digestion and may be a good alternative for bubs with sensitive tummies. Bubs Toddler Drink naturally contains A2 Goat Protein. We’ve also added Omega-3 (DHA) and Omega-6 (ARA) to provide premium nutrition.

Let’s take a closer look at the essential vitamins and minerals in goat milk.

Calcium

We’re constantly encouraged to feed our little one's dairy to meet their calcium needs and kickstart their growing little bodies. Calcium is essential in the building and strengthening of strong bones, muscle and nerve function, all of which are essential right from the start of your child’s life. Goat milk naturally contains more calcium than cow milk.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D works hand-in-hand with calcium to support healthy bones, but also to speed up the absorption rate of the calcium itself. Goat milk is packed with vitamin D, even more than cow milk, so both the vitamin D and calcium can get to work right away and help ease any knocks and bumps from playtime.

Iron

Babies are born with all the iron stores they need in their early months of life. However, as they begin to grow, their iron levels can drop slightly. Iron is essential to the development of your little one as it helps to transport oxygen all around the body. Goat milk is high in iron.

Potassium

Potassium is essential for babies and toddlers as it aids in the development of muscle function, as well as maintaining healthy blood pressure. Goat milk is a superior source of potassium, containing almost one and a half times that of cow milk.

A2 Goat Protein

Goat milk is a power-packed beverage full of the nutrients needed for optimal growth, energy production and helping little bodies function properly. Goat milk has a unique structure of medium-chain fatty acids in addition to A2 goat protein. This makes it closer to human milk than cow milk, which means, it is digested easily and can provide a healthy alternative to babies who might react to standard cow milk products.

What Does Goat Milk Taste Like?

When it comes to feeding your little one, we know taste is just as important as nutrition. You can pour all your effort into choosing the most nutrient-dense product, but if your little one turns their nose up, it’s back to square one.

While goat milk does taste slightly different to cow milk, it’s smooth and fresh, perfect for young taste buds. This is because goat milk has naturally smaller fat and protein molecules which mix together easily and resemble those of breast milk. The result? Goat milk is not only more easily digested by young tummies, it also tastes delicious.

Does Goat Milk Contain Lactose?

Goat milk does contain milk proteins and lactose.

Can you drink Goat Milk if you’re allergic to Cow Milk?

It is important to note, if your child has been clinically diagnosed with a cow milk protein allergy or lactose intolerance, you should consult with your health care professional.

What is Pasteurisation?

Pasteurisation is the process of treating milk (and other foods) with heat to kill off harmful bacteria. Our Goat Milk Formula is pasteurised before being dried, which ensures it is 100% safe for your bub to enjoy.

Some believe heat-treating milk products destroy some of the nutrients in the milk. This is not entirely true because the entire process lasts only for a few seconds – not long enough to cause damage. Even better, we add more essential nutrients to our formula, so the finished product is loaded with vitamins and minerals to assist your baby’s growth.
